Red Street with Wine & Rum House Braasch – Experience Flensburg's Old Town

The Red Street with the Wine & Rum House Braasch is one of the special attractions in the historic Old Town of Flensburg. The picturesque street is known for its restored merchant and craftsman courtyards, small shops, and cozy inner courtyards, and is also referred to as the "jewel box of Flensburg."

A special highlight is the Wine & Rum House Braasch at Red Street 26–28. The historic merchant courtyard with its distinctive red facades houses the Braasch Rum Manufactory Museum alongside the shop. There, visitors can learn more about the history of Flensburg rum, the sugar trade, seafaring, and Flensburg's connection to the Caribbean. Historical equipment, bottle collections, and photographs make the rum history vividly experiential.

The Wine & Rum House Braasch also offers its own rum specialties, liqueurs, spirits, and sweets. Various products can be sampled on-site. The two historical Braasch courtyards behind the main building invite you to discover the unique atmosphere of the Red Street away from the main alley.
