The naval school in the Flensburg district of Mürwik, built in the style of north German brick Gothic, has been the central training center for German naval officers since 1910. With its over 200 m long water front and its approx. 60 m high tower, it dominates the south bank of the Flensburg Fjord. It can be reached in about ten minutes by car from the center of Flensburg via Mürwiker Straße. The military history collection is housed in the former commanders' house. The collection on the grounds of the Naval School presents German naval history from 1848 to the present day. The small museum is currently closed due to facade renovation.
