The Langballigau valley is one of the most scenic stream valleys on the Baltic Sea coast and was declared a nature reserve in 1990. As a walker or hiker, you can experience a varied nature here. Slope forests, streams, meadows, marshes and the sea - you can experience all this on a hike through the valley. As a habitat for rare animal and plant species, the valley is home to the kingfisher, the grey wagtail and many other bird species. If you start your tour at the Landscape Museum Angeln/Unewatt, you will arrive at the harbour in Langballigau after a 5 km hike and can fortify yourself here with a delicious fish sandwich and a cool Flens (beer).
