Bring the kids and grandchildren for exciting winter holiday activities at Museum Sønderjylland - Arkæologi Haderslev!
Step into the past and discover the fascinating world of metals as the whole family is invited on a journey back in time. Out on the museum lawn, the museum's metal detector track awaits you. Can you find the hidden objects and mark them correctly on the map?
In the museum's sandbox there are hidden metals for you to find and explore. Together you can discover which metal it is, what it was used for and what it looked like in its heyday. Do you also want to try your hand at metalwork? You can forge a nail, cast a hammer or weave beautiful copper wires.
Inside the museum, the whole family can go on a fun and educational quest. Find the special metals and solve exciting puzzles to reveal a secret code. Can you crack the code? A prize awaits as a reward!
When you're hungry, you can enjoy food by the campfire. Iron Age-inspired dishes will be served so you can taste how people lived and ate back then.
The activities take place during the winter holidays from 11-14 February, every day from 10:00 am - 4:00 am.
