Other art & culture

Idyllic complex from 1813 with impressive tombstones and monuments as well as soldiers' and family graves. Classicist cemetery chapel by Axel Bundsen, built between 1810 and 1813.
The imposing lion, which once commemorated the Battle of Idstedt in 1850, was brought from Copenhagen in 2011 and today stands for German-Danish friendship in its old place. As an ensemble, the cemetery, Museumsberg and the adjoining Christiansenpark are an important garden monument, including a mirror grotto.
