Monument

Idyllic complex from 1813 with impressive tombstones and monuments as well as soldier and family graves. Neoclassical cemetery chapel by Axel Bundsen, built from 1810 to 1813.
The imposing lion, which once commemorated the Battle of Idstedt in 1850, was brought from Copenhagen in 2011 and now stands in its original place, symbolizing German-Danish friendship. As an ensemble, the cemetery, Museumsberg and the adjacent Christiansenpark form an important garden monument, including a mirror grotto.
